Clawes Carpets is changing its name from Clawes Carpets to Clawes Flooring.
While Mr. Robert Clawes Sr. first started the company selling carpet solely in 1978, Clawes has expanded to selling and installing multiple types of floor coverings including hardwood, vinyl, laminate, custom area rugs, runners, luxury vinyl as well as offering services for wood refinishing and carpet cleaning.
Not only have we grown in floor covering options, but locations as well. Starting at the Twinbrook location in Fairfax, Clawes has now expanded with stores in Clifton, Oakton and Bristow.
While Clawes has been selling and installing a range of flooring types for over 30 years, it was still a difficult decision to move forward with a name change. Clawes Carpets was a name Mr. Clawes gave the company back in 1978, and customers have grown to recognize the name over the past 45 years.
Changing a name that has worked well for us for so many years is always a tough decision to make. With that being said, we have realized it’s a necessary change to reflect we do more than just carpet!
Starting from March 2025 Clawes Carpets will gradually transition to Clawes Flooring. Both names will coexist for several months until the process is completed.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the customers that have supported Clawes Carpets over the years, and we look forward to seeing you now as Clawes Flooring!
